A week of reminders
Just a week from the kick-off session in Jakarta but I feel a month left when working hard with 3G launching in Saigon now. So so busy, so so crazy :D and I am crazy, actually. Believe Thang is the same in another 3G project in Hanoi now. However, thanks to you all who really dedicated your time for he whole team. I’ve got reminders everyday by mails from you guys and by that way, I haven’t had any half day forgot about what I need to do to return and what I need to do not to lag behind in such a good team.
Actually, I’ve started my very own project plan by taking my most memorable part of the slides, the Delphi technique. I’ve thought about the best case, worst case and most likely case whenever I need to decide anything. This technique also reminds me to put situation into the facts and figures, the first lesson learnt for me is everything can figure out and do it with the possibility of being success not a blur guess or an assumption in general then we just wait for a lucky result to come.
Besides, I’ve created my very own baseline for my studying. Because it’s just simply in excel file for my easy tracking so I’m not gonna share the baseline with you guys now. I’ll make it better in the Ms Project once my computer has it installed by our IT desk.
All I can report to Dr.Paul now is that my studying is in initiating process. I’m doing pilot with my studying baseline excel file. I’m doing feasibility study with topic for paper. I’m observing around my workplace and figuring out how and what I can make changes. Maybe, it is just a very small change on my daily working process. Maybe, it is a simple change on how to communicate with my internal customers effectively.
On top of above, the thought that comes back-and-forth in my mind is “work smart not work hard”. Dr.Paul has reminded times and times again in the kick-off session but to remember and have it applied is not that simple as we’re easy to forget when we’re crazily busy with different kinds of stuffs coming in one time. Nevertheless, I just thought I’m smart in dealing with my crazy busy situation now by taking the course as an on-job training course not an academic course, it will be easier for me, am I right (?)
P/S: The last thing comes to my mind now is We cannot be an Unknown-Unknown or No Name. I would prefer a planet name like: Mars (Explanation: Our target is to go through Mar, 2010 so like a word-play: Mar Successful (Mar-S), besides Mars in English is fighting genius, so we as a group, will fight hard for the successful team. I know War begins if someone like a flower name, heheheJ.
And, if no one answers me I’ll go to the Google groups and change our team name as MARS … Take your chance to choose what you wanna be, now or never guys!!!
