AACE Certification 2009/ 2010 open course, Mahakam Class

Dear all,
I am establishing a blog for us to share ideas, thoughts, experience, lesson learnt and tips from our class AACE Certification open course 2009/ 2010.

I am establishing this blog as this is a learning center for us and with this we also teach others how to develop their skills and ability with getting certifiy and get accritidate from global internationally known organizations.

I wish my knowledge would become usefull to my society. "Work Smart not Work Hard", I am ready to make changes and improve for my professional track record, are you with me?

This is only a preface as a first step of our journey to brighter future, who says sky is the limit?

Regards,
Chris

Nicely done, Chris!!! Thanks......

Remember, each week I am looking for a MINIMUM of 1 posting from each person that identifies:
1) What tools and techniques you learned how to use during the previous week;
2)HOW you can use or adapt these tools for use in your own day to day working environment.

The objective of this assignment is to get you to REFLECT (think about) what it is you are learning and turn it from theory into something "real" or "useable".

Remember, I am interested not only in the mathematical formula or the definitions, you have learned about, but as much if not more importantly, "soft" issues..... What did you learn about teamwork? Communications? Conflict Resolution? Leadership? Motivating yourself and your team members? Making things happen?

This is your "journal of discovery"- A diary of your experiential based, blended learning growth.

Looking forward to reading your posts each week...

BR,
Dr. PDG, Jakarta

PS: I expect to see a MINIMUM of 500 words and not more than 1,000 words from each person, each week, posted no later than 24:00 Saturday night Jakarta Time.... (GMT+7)

Dear Dr Paul,
Yes thank you. But it seems I have to write a step by step for my classmate how to use this blog. Because not all have a habit to write.

I am working on it.

Sorry for our late response.

Respectfully,
Chris

Here we go with the first input to our common blog:

Reflecting on the happenings and developments of last week I am really very much confident that, if we are able to keep up the momentum and drive, we are all going to pass the certification on the first attempt! Great team and teamwork so far. A couple of strong leaders already starting to crystallize out of the first interactions (especially looking also at our "Forcing" ladies ...)

I am actually wondering if this would be a good trial group/program to test Agile Management - respectively to test my theory that if we are NOT applying Agile Management we are most probably going to fail (due to the strong personal commitment required of each individual rather then the standard PCA approach, having all planned and thought through - referring also to our first time disaster on this certification program).

Interesting question though: How would you keep control over a agile managed project? Answer might be lying in a more delivery oriented tracking by milestone (and do milestone planning/control). As Dr.P would put it: This would be an EXCELLENT topic for a paper ...

Klaus
(signing off for his vocation starting tomorrow)

PS: Everybody already given a though about their topic? As you most probably able to recon from my posting above I will be looking into the hot topic of applied Agile Management and Soft Systems Methodology (is this the future for the Telco industry?)
