Seems somehow my first post ended up on the wrong blog space ...
Original post from 7.9.09:
Here we go with the first input to our common blog:
Reflecting on the happenings and developments of last week I am really very much confident that, if we are able to keep up the momentum and drive, we are all going to pass the certification on the first attempt! Great team and teamwork so far. A couple of strong leaders already starting to crystallize out of the first interactions (especially looking also at our "Forcing" ladies ...)
I am actually wondering if this would be a good trial group/program to test Agile Management - respectively to test my theory that if we are NOT applying Agile Management we are most probably going to fail (due to the strong personal commitment required of each individual rather then the standard PCA approach, having all planned and thought through - referring also to our first time disaster on this certification program).
Interesting question though: How would you keep control over a agile managed project? Answer might be lying in a more delivery oriented tracking by milestone (and do milestone planning/control). As Dr.P would put it: This would be an EXCELLENT topic for a paper ...

PS: Everybody already given a though about their topic? As you most probably able to recon from my posting above I will be looking into the hot topic of applied Agile Management and Soft Systems Methodology (is this the future for the Telco industry?)

Klaus,
I agree with you. This team started out slowly those first couple of days in class, but have definitely "come alive".
And yes, I agree fully that this is a good place to "practice" or test drive different theories. There is no "failure" here, PROVIDED everyone learns. And the nice thing, if you learn, you will almost surely pass your exams, which will further reinforce the success.....
My real interest, along with the people who sponsored all of you (by paying for this training) is what you can or will do to make change as a result of this course..... Not just theoretical talk, but solid "I learned this and I am going to implement it in my company on Monday morning".
Those are the kinds of examples I am looking for here...
